The story so far
Aakash Rai grew up between Dharan's busy bazaar and his grandparents' village in the eastern hills — two worlds that shape everything he writes.
His 2023 EP Sahar became a quiet word-of-mouth hit, racking up millions of streams without a label or a marketing budget. His songs are about leaving home, missing home and finally going back.
Live, Aakash plays with a four-piece band built around madal, bansuri and acoustic guitars.
