The story so far
The Kathmandu Drift formed in a Baneshwor college canteen in 2019. Their sound — jangly guitars, big choruses and lyrics about power cuts, ring roads and first loves — has made them the most-talked-about band in the city's indie scene.
They self-produced their second album Loadshedding Lullabies in a DIY studio above a Thamel momo shop.
Members: Rojina Tamang (vocals), Nirajan Maharjan (guitar), Sujan K.C. (bass), Dawa Lama (drums).
