Maya Thapa started posting covers from her bedroom in Butwal at seventeen. Her debut EP Nilo turned her into one of the most distinctive voices in Nepali R&B.
Her songs sit somewhere between classic soul, modern R&B and the Nepali adhunik songs her mother sang around the house.
